It's hard to see what material is, but it immediately made me think of a research I've been doing on ICFs, which are basically foam blocks that are infilled with concrete. Could this be that?

I am not really sure what this post is saying. Is the insulation bad cause is makes the building fat? Or is that good??
would it not be better to have the windows flush with then exterior surface to get maximum sunlight into the building?
