Plattenbau in Wien.

Plattenbauten Wien.

Seen on my trip to work - a Plattenbau from 1967 (by Georg Linser and Emil Kapeller). With some adjustments, the front facade would fit in an architecture magazine, the backside however, looks nasty!

Looks like dutch architects Arons & Gelauff got inspired by this building/facade: http://bit.ly/10wKiM

Very cool facade. It is unfortunate the backside is not equally as interesting. I wonder what the interior is like.

Hi Christoph,
Sensational: please check out Georges Maillols' le Trimaran in Rennes. I went there this summer. Stunning! K1000
