2005 Jean Nouvel has won an idea competition to modernize the chocolate brand Cailler.
This year, the chocolate brand "Cailler of Switzerland" launched on the Swiss market a complete range of Chocolate [...] revisited by Jean Nouvel. [..] As for the moulds and the packaging, Jean Nouvel has reworked them in order to make them better identifiable and time lasting. The main challenge was to modernize the brand, its image and promote it internationally. However, some of the re-designed chocolate brands may not be successful: the amount of waste of the new package of Frigor Carrés has doubled and the CO2 emission during production is seven times higher than of the old version.
