"fake or original?"
Since a couple of years large-scale billboards on building's scaffold are familiar pictures in (European) cities. Originally aimed to finance renovation cost of mostly historical buildings, giant billboards spread of the (inner) cities. Do they still serve its original purpose? Quite often the advertisement stays suspiciously long.
Seemingly there is a new regulation in Vienna: you can install a scaffold billboard if you graphically imitate the hidden building! So why renovate?

A big chance for all the German inner cities that were tastelessly rebuilt in the post-war period: just put on the former façade now!
It is also a handy feature for unsteady governments: Palast der Republik or Berliner Schloss? Just change the billboard, who cares what?s constructed behind?
Moscow is full of this crap. In center you have no place to put eye on without notice of such advert.
