The last Land (Das letzte Land) is the Austrian contribution to the Venice Biennial 2005 (Austrian Pavilion) by Hans Schabus. A artificial mountain overgrows the neo-classical Austrian Pavilion (according to the plans of Josef Hofmann) and provides a wonderful view over the Laguna. Funny, while MVRDV failed to mount their hill for the Serpentine gallery in London, Hans Schabus - a sculptor - succeeds...

da haben die o:sterreicher schon wieder die niederla:nder u:berholt... s.
wohl eher 1:1 kopiert... sehr einfallsreich 'die Österreicher'. Ausserdem geht es wohl nicht um Österreicher oder Niederländer, sondern eher um eine ausgesprochene Entwurfssprache.... ziemlich nichtssagendes Kommentar.
